My Life in Color

Hi. If you're here, you probably already know that this site is about color! The human eye can distinguish over a million different colors. My goal is to showcase a unique shade every week, with pictures, feelings the color may invoke, maybe the history and if I'm really ambitious, perhaps a little color theory. I'll try to let you know where I am, however, there are tabs for my most frequent haunts.

SW France

I've decided to not disclose exactly where I am in any of my photos. The why is myriad of reasons, the most important of them are, I don't want to spoil the beauty of the area I'm in by overcrowding and next, why would you want to take the same pictures I am? That's just silly. Find your own creativity, don't copy someone else's. They don't know any more than you.

Light Thru Glass

Luminosity

Is there anything more beautiful than light though glass? You might think it strange that I'm starting with glass. I'm not. I'm starting with light, because without it, you'd see nothing. The light refracting is what allow you to see colour. Ever notice how when it's dark, the colours seems to leach out their vibrancy? The reds disappear first, then the orange, yellows, greens, and then last the blues, and violets.

Portugal

Oh Portugal! Your weather has stolen my heart. The weather of the land, echo the warmth of the people that call it home

Florida

What can I say about my home? Beyond the commercialisation of Orlando, and the movie stars of Miami, there is the real Florida. The orange groves, and cowboys and yes, gators reign supreme where I'm from.

France

How do you explain a conundrum? The land of ‘Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité’. A land of timeless beauty and ageless monuments. Wine, food, fashion are the always forefront in the French life.
